The island is nicely sized and has beautiful nature with large, undeveloped areas, and there are fine gravel roads inviting walks and runs. On Tjock\u00f6 service traffic is permitted, but things are kept orderly for everyone\u2019s comfort.<\/p>\\n
The island is alive year-round with a permanent population of about 50 people, and there are regular services from R\u00e4fsn\u00e4s daily throughout the year; the steamship pier is close by. Tjock\u00f6 has its own island shop and island bistro, both less than a ten-minute walk from the property. Within easy reach are the islands of Fejan and Lid\u00f6, with hostels and archipelago restaurants. The nearest fuel dock is at Gr\u00e4dd\u00f6, about a ten-minute boat ride away, and Norrt\u00e4lje town is about 40 minutes by your own boat. Buses run to R\u00e4fsn\u00e4s, and from Stockholm in summer the Waxholmsbolaget boat goes all the way to Tjock\u00f6.<\/p>\\n

H\u00e4r finns en t\u00e4ljstenskamin som ger sk\u00f6n v\u00e4rme under lite svalare dagar. Fint furugolv bidrar till den fina k\u00e4nslan i rummet. Utanf\u00f6r vardagsrummet ligger en inglasad altan och vidare utanf\u00f6r denna den stora altanen mot vattnet. Huvudbyggnaden har tv\u00e5 bra sovrum och ett k\u00f6k med matplats. Tjock\u00f6 n\u00e5s enkelt med antingen egen b\u00e5t fr\u00e5n R\u00e4fsn\u00e4s, Kapellsk\u00e4r eller Gr\u00e4dd\u00f6 p\u00e5 ca 10 minuter eller med passb\u00e5t flera turer dagligen fr\u00e5n R\u00e4fsn\u00e4s brygga. \u00d6n ligger p\u00e5 gr\u00e4nsen till \u00c5lands hav och \u00f6sterut finns den vackra S\u00f6derarms sk\u00e4rg\u00e5rden som fortfarande \u00e4r en i stora delar ouppt\u00e4ckt del av sk\u00e4rg\u00e5rden. \u00d6n \u00e4r lagom stor och har en vacker natur med stora oexploaterade delar och p\u00e5 \u00f6n finns fina grusv\u00e4gar som inbjuder till promenader och l\u00f6pturer. P\u00e5 Tjock\u00f6 finns egen \u00f6-butik och egen \u00f6-krog, hit g\u00e5r man p\u00e5 mindre \u00e4n tio minuter fr\u00e5n fastigheten. P\u00e5 beh\u00e4ndigt avst\u00e5nd ligger ocks\u00e5 \u00f6arna Fejan och Lid\u00f6, med vandrarhem och sk\u00e4rg\u00e5rdskrogar. N\u00e4rmaste b\u00e5tmack finns p\u00e5 Gr\u00e4dd\u00f6 ungef\u00e4r tio minuters b\u00e5tf\u00e4rd bort och till Norrt\u00e4lje stad tar det ca 40 minuter med egen b\u00e5t.
